As we are all aware, the City of Cape Town is planning to grant the long-term rights to control and/or manage the city-owned property of the Bellville Velodrome and Stadium for an initial period of 30 years, with two renewal options of an additional 15 years each to a developer. The developer is wanting to place high-density housing, hotels and shops in the area essentially leaving the surrounding areas without a community sport and recreation facility.

There was a Public Participation Process on the 25th July where the community could voice their concerns. If you would still like to have a say in this process you have until the 14th August 2019 to do so.

How do I have my say?
